Robonaut2

A new robot called Robonaut2 or simply R2 is designed by NASA and GM which is basically an updated version of the Robonaut and is comparatively dexterous, flexible technologically advanced and faster. This new generation robot is designed in such a manner so that it can be sent into the space along with astronauts.
This robot can be used in space exploration and its hands can do work which is beyond the scope of the prior humanoid machines. Robonaut2 is capable of working safely along with people on Earth as well as in space. This R2 technology as per GM will help in developing new technology that will help in making safer cars and providing production facilities in near future.
The advance technology of Robonaut2 uses sensors, safety systems and controls that can also be adapted for vehicles and other needs. Thus this amazing robotics technology will provide great benefits and promises not only for NASA but also for nation.
